About Us

Bonneau Quilting Group (BQG), The "ORIGINAL" Bonneau Sewing Quilt Group was established in Berkeley County, SC - in 2019 when Cheri & a few ladies in the community just wanted to get together - quilt, learn from each other and have a few laughs! The mission is a community group to simply get together, share a love of sewing and quilting, have fun and donate to other groups and needs of the community! Our desire is to cultivate an atmosphere of friendship, fine tune & improve on our skills, while sharing our talents.

BQG not only helps beginners and the novice alike, we create items to donate to others. Donations are made throughout the year to schools, local nursing homes, Quilts of Valor, and many other organizations. There have been groups to branch off, for example, P31 Sewciety at Arise Church. P31 donates to local cancer groups and organizations within South Carolina that distribute the items worldwide. Bonneau Quilting Group assists in the outreach of P31.

Bonneau Quilting Group is pleased to be a Splinter Group of Cobblestone Quilters Guild. Several of us are members of Cobblestone Quilters Guild * in Hanahan, SC and Quilters of SC * . Both of these provide us with classes, special retreats and teachers. Cobblestone Quilters Guild celebrates 40 years in 2023!

BQG does not have officers or dues. Just fun and fellowship plus doing good things for the community. All quilters new or experienced are welcome to join us! Interested in becoming a part of BQC? Get more info below!
